My Christmas Wishlist

My Christmas Wishlist
I love all that glitters: tinsel, chandelier earrings, silver eye shadow, and yes, of course, gold. I especially love the metallic hues popping up in eye shadows this season.  I also love the return of the nieties punk ediginess, mixed in with a big dose of modern day glamour, and a touch of eighties fashion. Sure, it's a lot of retro-ness, but swirl it together and you've got a look that is right now. Here's what' on my Christmas beauty wish list this year. (Hint, hint,Santa, are you reading this? After all, I haven't been all that naughty....)

"Homeless for the Holidays" is a movie the entire family can watch and enjoy together.

This is real. This is happening all around us, to real people. “Homeless for the Holidays” is a heartwarming movie, based on a true story, that will get you in the spirit of Christmas. In the movie, a corporate climbing, money-loving, executive, Jack Baker, gets the pink slip for a crime he never committed. Things spiral out of his financial control as bill collectors call, his utilities are shut off one by one, and his car is repossessed. Jolted out of the doldrums by his loving wife, he is humorously humiliated by taking a job at a burger joint to futilely try and make his expensive ends meet. The entire family frets over what their Christmas will be like.

This movie is endearingly reminiscent of humble church Christmas pageants, with expressive, old-fashioned narration and unique videography that lets you look straight into the lives and hearts of these down to earth folks. This budget film uses interesting and engaging characters, humor, warmth, and love to give us a glimpse of the real meaning of Christmas. This is a movie the entire family can watch and enjoy together. After watching “Homeless for the Holidays,” you’ll be moved to set your priorities straight and focus on the ones you love this Christmas. At least, I was.
