One Hand, Two Hands

One Hand, Two Hands by Max Lucado is a lovable children’s book about serving others.  It shows children and adults alike, through lyrical rhymes and joy-filled illustrations by Gaby Hansen, some good clean fun and some wonderful acts of service that we can do with our own two hands and our ten fingers.  This delightful book isn’t preachy or pouty, it’s encouraging and fun for children of all ages.

My three year old son and I enjoyed reading One Hand, Two Hands together.  He was spell-bound by the smiling characters, the bouncy rhymes written in language that he could understand, and the concrete, age-appropriate ideas that he could use to serve others.  I adored this book as much as my son did, and I am sure that we will read it together many times over.
